About
In fall of 2023, the CRACS Co-Lab hosted a small interdisciplinary reading group to discuss selected texts around the theme of Global Feminist Critique of Capital centering on the work of psychoanalyst and political philosopher, Frantz Fanon, political theorist Sylvia Federici, black studies philosopher Hortense Spillers and postcolonial theorist Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak. Our reading group will culminate with a 2-day workshop in Spring 2024 organized around three sessions, in which the participants will be asked to reflect on how Fanon’s, Spivak’s Federici’s, and Spillers’ contributions help them to advance their own work on themes that have become key to critical thinking about capitalism in the past 15 years or so, namely debt, reparations and rebelry.
The reading group is currently by invitation only. Please look out for public events on our events page.
